The Nelson double bed, designed by Matteo Nunziati for Bonaldo, is the key element of this new bedroom collection. Its hallmark features are the clean lines, precise analysis of the shapes and proportions, and the meticulous care taken over the details. The dramatic and imposing wood headboard which surrounds and frames a smaller, softer, padded headboard is the stand-out feature. The flat, slimline bed base, also made of wood, rests on slender metal feet: elements which give the Nelson bed the impression of being “suspended” as if it is floating in the bedroom. In the Nelson L version, the headboard is larger and the bedside tables are incorporated in the bed creating a balanced and elegant result. The range is completed by the bench with a wood frame and soft fabric cover: an elegant, sophisticated, yet functional element.

Matteo Nunziati is an architect and designer specialized in luxury hotels, wellness centers, SPA and residential projects. Matteo Nunziati has realized projects over the years in Italy, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, India, Maldives, China, USA. Particularly significant the collaboration with the Trump Organization, world leader in the real estate. His most outstanding residential projects are the Bosco Verticale penthouse in Milan winner of the prestigious Royal Institute of British Architects Award (RIBA) 2018 for International Excellence, the skyscraper penthouse in New York at 432 Park Avenue that is considered one of the most prestigious residential buildings in the world and the most expensive. His projects, exclusive and enhanced by the skillful selection of materials and furnishings, usually chosen from the production excellence of Made in Italy design, have been published in the major Italian and international magazines. In parallel to his work as an architect, Matteo Nunziati collaborates with some of the most prestigious design brands. Numerous and prestigious awards have been received for the design products he designed such as the Archiproducts Design Awards 2020/2021, Good Design Award, Wallpaper Design Award, the Reddot Design Award, the Elle Deco International Design Awards, the London Design Award, the IDA Design Award.
